What began as a search for running buddies at NTU quickly turned into a lifelong passion. Joining the university’s cross country team just to “find a group of people to run with,” she discovered more than just training partners — she found a community. From chatty warm-ups to pushing through workouts together and cheering each other on at races, the warmth and camaraderie of the sport made it easy to fall in love with running.
After graduating, she continued to pursue the sport competitively, building an impressive résumé across the 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon distances. Her favorite moment? Representing Singapore for the first time at the 2024 Taiwan Open in the 5000m — lining up alongside international athletes, braving rainy conditions, and still walking away with a personal best and a 6th-place finish out of 17. Since then, she’s gone on to achieve podium finishes in the GEWR 2024 Half Marathon, Meta Time Trials Thailand 2024, Sundown Marathon 2023, and 2XU Half Marathon 2024, and claimed back-to-back wins in the Interclub 10000m in both 2023 and 2024.
With short-term goals of simply running happy and healthy, she’s eyeing a Singapore record someday — and maybe, in the distant future, being fit enough to keep up with Coach Dillon in a workout. When she’s not logging miles, she’s unwinding with RPG and horror games — a mental reset after the physical demands of training.
Her biggest inspiration? Full-time working mums who still make time for running. "Slowly recovering after pregnancy, managing kids, working, and squeezing in training — I honestly don’t know how they do it,” she says. “It’s something I truly admire.”
“No human is limited. Your mind is stronger than you think.”
