Vanessa Sam joined distance running on a whim—and plans to keep it that way. Finding joy and humor in the simplicity of running circles daily, she remains driven yet relaxed, dedicated without pressure. For Vanessa, running becomes enjoyable precisely because she never forces herself into it.

Representing NTU and Singapore internationally, she has competed at the ASEAN University Games and Taiwan Open, achieving impressive results locally in events ranging from road races to steeplechase.

Currently studying Mathematical Science with a minor in Computing & Data Analysis at NTU, Vanessa aims to graduate soon, driven by curiosity and passion for analytics. Beyond sports and academics, her life goals are simple yet heartfelt: stay healthy, remain consistent in her training, and cultivate happiness—ideally with cats by her side.
